Our new dining table & chairs which were supposed to be delivered on today, have not arrived.  The dining table is not an issue, but there is a problem with the chairs. After making numerous calls to the store I finally received a phone call back about the chairs yesterday afternoon. The person I spoke with said that the chairs that had been  put aside for our order had accidentally been sent to another store. This store then sold them. The problem is that the chairs have since been discontinued.  This really bites as both Hubby and I really liked the chairs and that is the main reason why we ordered the furniture from this store. When I paid the final installment two weeks ago, I asked if there were any problems with our order, only to be told that everything was okay.

The store said that they have other leather chairs there that we can choose from and we would get a $50 discount per chair. They have also offered to throw in a lamp table, this would normally cost about $390. While it is an excellent offer, which equates to a saving of around $800, we really wanted the original chairs we had ordered. The other alternative is a refund. However, we have had a look around and don’t think that we would be able to get anything similar to what we had originally chosen. Hopefully we will be able to have a look in Brisbane on the weekend before having to make up our minds.

On a brighter note……it’s our 10th Wedding Anniversary today. I can’t believe we have been married so long. It seems to have gone so fast. We didn’t have anything special planned, but we might go out for dinner this weekend….just have to wait and see.
